Where Is Kernel Directory In Rh9(kernel 2.4.20-8), For Compiling HSP56 MR(pctel) Mode


I`ve HSP56 MR(pctel) modem,and i`m trying to configure on RedHat 9 kernel Ver-2.4.20-8
but when i try to run pctel setup it give following error message,saying it is not finding
kernel path at /usr/src in /usr/src directory only one Directory "debug" exists
i did`t changed any default settings or kernel
direcory while install. can anyone tell me where is kernel path for RedHat 9
kernel Ver-2.4.20-8 or what is the syntax for correct kernel source tree

i know i can find kernel RPM in 3rd CD,other than this,by default while install RH9,it will not copy kernel to system ?

did you have the kernel source installed?

try in a console:
rpm -qa |grep kernel

if your /usr/src folder doesn't contain a directory like: ./linux-2.4.20-8 you propably have no sources installed.

remember kernel and kernel-sources are not the same
