where is $KDEHOME ???

Hi, just had a quick question for anyone who knows this...

One of the new features of KDE 3.4 is:

KMail will store mail in $KDEHOME/apps/kmail/mail instead of ~/Mail

I was just wondering if anyone knows what ' $KDEHOME ' is...

I did an: echo $KDEHOME

but the variable wasn't defined...

is it /usr/lib/kde3 ???

Thanks

Zubin

i thinks its ~/.kde (it would have to be in your home directory, users cannot write outside of that so Kmail could only be run as root if this were the case).

Talking

OK, for anyone finding this problem again, I found an answer that worked for me at http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1399624

You probably installed KDE after the main Ubuntu or Mint - i.e. not the full Kubuntu. Anyway, you have to install the plasma-netbook package. That should do it. If it's already installed, uninstall and reinstall (it's not big).

Viva Plasma! Viva Activities! It's a really productive way to work, once you get your head around it.
