Question Where can I find the build log for a kernel compile?

I need to find the build log for a kernel compile... anybody know where it's located? (I'm using Gentoo linux 2.6.25)

Hmm, I only thought that a build log would only be made if you specifically send the std out and std error to a file, when you run the make's.
Code:
make > build.log 2>&1

I did not think there was one either, but I'm working with this developer who keeps referring to a "build.log" - he's used to working with Redhat though... maybe that's it.

My guess is that there are some utilities created by some distributions that redirect the output to a file.

Genkernel creates a log ... /var/log/genkernel.log
