Where can I download mySQL.so and php-mySQL RPM?

Can any one tell me where can I download mySQL.so or php-mySQL RPM? The reason is I got an error in PHP saying "Call to undefined function: mysql_connect()", and I think the error is because I need either mySQL.so or php-mySQL RPM, but I can't find any of them on the internet. I'm running Redhat 9, PHP4 and MySQL5.21...

Thanks in advance.

How did you install PHP and MySQL? If you used RPM's, where did you obtain them from? Running a *really* old distro and *really* new versions of software is an odd combo because the distro themselves typically stop providing binaries after some time (which is the case with Redhat 9). So, assuming you installed these applications from source, you have the files installed necessary to run them together (assuming you configured them properly). It may be something else holding you back, such as your Apache not loading the PHP addon functionality.

Cool

Thank you for replying my post!

I think u r right, it may be something else coz I found the php-mysql RPM and installed it, but I still got the same error. I'm sure the Appache is working, the PHP is working since I can see the phpinfo(), and mySQL is running since I can add DB and tables. The fact is I don't have too much experience with Linux, so could you give me some more detailed suggestinons or instructions? I think the PHP 4 is built in in Redhat9 and I installed mySQL using RPM.

Thank you again.
