where are the desktop icons in fluxbox?
 

hi...

yesterday, i downloaded fluxbox 0.9.6pre1 for my RedHat 9....I have installed it....but there are 2 issues with fluxbox right now:

1. When I tried to add fluxbox as an additional option along with KDE, GNOME and TWM in the file /etc/X11/xdm/Xsession, it displayed an error message that

'your last session lasted only 10 seconds.....blah blah blah.....error...~/...some filename' ...I dont remember right now...I was not able to log in with any ID including that of root....However, I managed to comment those lines....and I was able to return back to normal....

Now I figured out that on the graphical login screen, 'fluxbox' was given as an option under the 'Session' menu.....and I am able to use fluxbox sucessfully. But, I have to select it manually every time I log in to the system.

2. My second question is - how to make fluxbox load every time I login with a particular ID in place of KDE/GNOME?

If you are using GDM when you ask to load flux it should ask you if you want it to be you're default DE. hmmmm, Have you tried logging out and logging in w/o selecting flux?
