When uninstalling apt4rpm-0.65.2-0 (rpm -e apt4rpm-0.65.2-0), computer hangs
When uninstalling apt4rpm-0.65.2-0 (rpm -e apt4rpm-0.65.2-0), computer hangs. Here is the sequence:
su root <entered passwd> <got root prompt> root-> rpm -qa | grep apt root-> apt4rpm-0.65.2-0 root-> rpm -e apt4rpm-0.65.2-0 then computer spun drive for about 2 seconds and hung for about 12 hours. I finally pulled the plug (figurativly). Can anyone tell me how to manually uninstall this rpm? |
Well, I ended up going to the download site for apt at freshmeat. I downloaded the version I wanted and installed it overtop of the apt4rpm-0.65.2-0. I have no idea if this will cause any long term problems. I have been running apt this way for about a month now and I ahve not noticed any quirks. Since no on ereplied to this post, ia am guessing its no big deal.
