When I run clamav, it just waits, no message (even with -v ), avsan hangs loading db

I run it from the command line, I get a newline, and nothing else whatsoever. It just hangs. When I run it from avscan, it hangs when loading the db.

What's going on?

What are you running?

The command line version is clamscan, or are you trying to start a daemon (clamd)?
