Thumbs down whats the best way to setup DNSMASQ?


like the subject sayś,
what is the best way to setup dnsmasq.

im online whit xs4all but can't use any dns server,??

or is xs4all blocking dnsmasq,
i used ziggoś dns server, but cant ping or find google.nl or google.com anymore.

i only can use the dns server from xs4all all 3 of them working fine.

what am i doing wrong?

please help?

dnsmasq is for a bunch of different things. Best depends on what you want to do. Who says you are doing anything wrong? If you can only reach their DNS, then it suggests that they are blocking others. Is that a problem for you? you should just configure your system locally correctly and then whatever works in /etc/resolv.conf will be picked up by dnsmasq automatically, so these two things don't have much in common really.
