Neverwinter Nights. Plays great. You gotta look on the site a little bit, but they did port the game to Linux and it's real easy to install...

My personal linux favorite is Soldier of Fortune by Loki, eXtreme fun!

WineX allows you to run quite a few games on Linux. Commercial product however.

winex 3.1 has been released!

WineX is great :). I love games. I just don't like Half-Life.... everybody LOVES it but I don't:

- Way to long for a Linux port
- Buggy as hell. Crashes when playing, crashes when connecting multiplayer, crashes when loading...
- Sometimes you get stucked at walls for no aparent reason
- Larges patches over 80 megas which does not fix anything(fixes multiplayer? maybe...)
- Worst Multiplayer ever, exception for Counter-Strike (only cheaters with wallhack and headshot stuff though...) and Day of Defeat (not so popular, you have to wait to find a server with peoples playing ;).
- Lost of sound if you minimize the game. In fact, this is the most newbie BUG ever. I don't understand how professional coders, with a multi-milionar best seller game can't fix it. When I've started coding DirectX, the first thing we've learned is, CREATE A RESTORE FUNCTION, in the case we lose the surfaces, as minimize the game... I think they skip those tutorials ;)

I would continue a large large list, but I won't :). I also Love Quake 3 and Soldier of Fortune, really cool games and in my box, runs way smoother then for Winslow :).
Other native games for Linux are:

Heavy Gear 2
SimCity 3000
Alpha Century
Heroes of Might and Magic 3
Myth - Soul Blighter

If I'm not mistaken ;)

For me these games work with winex with virtually no problems:
Tribes (an excellent game!)
Half Life/Counter-Strike/Day of Defeat etc...
Grand Theft Auto 3
Worms Armageddon

um.. the sentence "have you hugged your penguin today?"?
by all means! i did not come up with the phrase myself, and
i would only encourage the usage of it by others. :)
