Hi , Guru
Thanks for you reading this message.
I know that mozilla might somehow support ActiveX website, but not fully indeed.
Is there any ActiveX-like solution for linux platform and can work well with borwsers in linux?
Thanks for you reading this message again, and if you have any idea, please kindly share me you information.

Well, I ain't no guru, and AFAIK Active-X ain't no standard, it's MICROS~1-centric. So I say probably none.

IMNSHO if we are to expect browsers in Linux to be able to handle Active-X then we might as well implement random system failures, build all GUI functionality into no more than ten binaries, add VB and dotnet and everything else that makes the MICROS~1 gaming platform such a success. I hope that until then (that is, until a rather hot place freezes over) you'll probably remain dependant on Wine or something VMware(-alike).

ActiveX is a proprietary technology and it was not implemented in any open-source browsers, because it is closed and depends not only of the browser itself, but a larger part is OS dependent.

I've found problems with ActiveX controls under wine, so this is not a solution too.

I think the only solution is run a real Windows under a virtual machine.

cheers,
