Does it have to be medieval?
Because CUE splitting is certainly possible on GNU/Linux, and some GUI frontend seems to exist, too.
Have you tried searching your repositories?

Turbo Tax

I see by this thread that I'm not the only one who has a dual boot Linux system with Windows just to run Turbo Tax. Well, my wife prefers Windows, but otherwise...

Hello,

I now have broadband, but when I had dial up I would of liked to see earthlink namely port there software to linux. It worked flawlessly but to have the software and for it to tell me when I had email would of been great. Plus I could of put the cd in and let it set it up for me so I would have not had to worry about dns and such. I just think it would of been great. As far has how much to pay it would of payed for itself always a noob looking for an easy way to get internet working.

That video has been removed, which kind of negates some of the value of this response.

Unhappy Logitech Harmony universal TV remotes

I would like the Logitech Harmony Universal remotes work with Linux.
Unfortunately they do not.
The Logitech Harmony remotes require software to be installed in order to set up the remote in order to use the remote.
This resulted that a friend of mine had to buy a win 10 laptop just to get the harmony remote to work.
The only computer he had was a Linux Mint.

Why did this happen?
Logitech Harmony remotes do not have Linux.

System Requirements

Windows® 8 or higher
macOS® 10.10 or higher
USB port (Type A port or adapter)
Internet access

from https://www.logitech.com/en-us/produ...te-665?crid=60

Unfortunately I am finding more devices or hardware and software that is only supported by
Win 10
or a macOS.

The main restriction that stops Linux becoming main stream is because devices or Hardware sometimes is not supported by Linux. The manufacturers of those products do not support Linux.

I suggest that any program or device anyone finds that does not work in Linux that the System requirements of that device or program be posted and a link of where that was sourced from.

What programs would you like to see ported to Linux

I would like for skirmish and custom to be merged, so that you can have all the custom settings for skirmish matches, like choosing points and opponent race and fight style.

Linux is the most used operating system on the face of the earth.

Drop them an email and tell them that you won't be using their product any more until they support linux. Use something that does.

If you absolutely must use a windows only something, then there is wine, crossover office, virtual box...

Then there is nothing stopping you from writing a bash, python, perl script to do what you wish. Look at it as challenge to conquer.

Resize Non Resizable Window

A Linux version of this program would come in handy for those windows that are not sized correctly and refuse to resize. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWCUT380Wbs

I've been using Congruity for about a year. It's pretty good. The only areas where it falls flat are A) Assigning devices to buttons, and B) Assigning devices for volume control.
