It's probably been said before, but the quicken line- quicken, quickbooks, turbo tax, etc. with them I could switch my mom over to linux and never look back, but she needs quicken, or at least something that is 'file compatible' (uses the same file format) with quicken.

Also, my Omega radeon drivers so I can use my 9800se-9800Pro softmod in linux :D

For Number Crunching, KDE has a nice replacement for Lotus 1-2-3 and more. If you understand the formulas, you're all set.

Lol, yes I teach how to use computers. When I get into it though, it seems I go over the heads of even the most sofisticated user.

As for Yahoo IM or YIM, I use Kopete for KDE and I think ther eis a link on my information to YIM me as I have setup that to do just that.

Anyway I just installed the GTK+ package and will be looking into that, and maybe figure out a way to get the AW Program ripped out of the exe and decompile it and reverse engineer it. Maybe. I would much rather have them get me the source code and then use gcc and gtk and what other things I can find to make a AW for Linux.

If they work this out, then one user there and myself will be hacking it out to make a very stable program.

EDIT#1 Well got an e-mail back and they refuse to even budge on source or even porting it to Linux, so my new tag is correct.

get Slackware and you'll never go back to windows

I now in the slackware 10.0 ;) , KDE 3.2 , firefox 10.2, licq 1.3.0 and so on. Everything works great.

Vypress chat - itś chat in my LAN, I´ve found itś linux clone - vyqchat. :)

I´ve tweaked my Russian language. Now Iĺl have to get e-mail client, x-chat and solve problem with switching languages. And one very big problem - my FDE freezes sometimes for 203 seconds. I think, recompiling kernel will help. Also I want to get KDE 3.4 and good IDE for C++ (I´ll try Anjuta) :Pengy:

Open gFTP and then log into the Slackware sight. I do not know if KDE 3.4 will work on Slack 10.0 get teh 10.1 and use that. Much better to use and I have it. then KDE 3.4.0 will definately work. X11 6.8.2 also. Use the gFTP and fo to the slackware ftp site, click on top to a higher directory and go to slackware, slackware-current. then get all you want and open a Termail and change directories to where you saved the files. Then just type upgradepkg *.tgz and all the packages will be updated, and the old ones deleted.
