just boot up then put the Linux ISO disk in. Thenthe linux set up should take care of itself. Once you've installed linux you can just delete your windows partition. Other then that just type format in ms-dos and that should do it but i wouldnt recommend that because i've never tried it
If you'd like to do it via Linux then here's how
Control Center in teh start up menu
YaST2 modules
SYstem
Partitioner

Use fdisk in dos mode and delete all your partitions, then create a new partition that takes up the whole drive, put the SuSE 9.1 disk in your CD and boot and then follow on screen instructions

Do not bother installing SuSE 9.1 Personal, you will be wasting your time and give yourself a million headaches in the process. It would also help if you posted your system Hardware so I can tell if you if its supported in suse or you will need to download the drivers and install them manually. Also don't format your harddrive just yet, you can still mount your windows partitions from linux, so you don't have to lose anything important. Unless, you had only one partition then nevermind.

I thought you had to buy SuSE9.1 Pro?
Also I have only had minor probs with SuSE9.1 Per and from past experience is the easiest install of linux I have ever undertaken!

No you don't have to buy it, its open source. You can also download it via FTP Server, but you might have difficulties with that, so I suggest just downloading the ISO's. Also SuSE 9.2 is out, but I haven't tried it out yet.

Yes 9.2 IS out and 9.1 is not put out as an iso only to get you to buy 9.1 pro for installation support, but in fact it is not illegal to download the iso for 9.1, just as it is not illegal to download 9.1 pro via ftp server. Not sure were you are getting your misinformation from.

point us all at a link that as of today, 10 Oct.04, has suse 9.2 for sale, preorder status doesn't mean<insert whatever comes to mind> . compusa, bestbuy, amazon don't have it,
SuSE themselves have it available only as a preorder.
