Question what means fc8 in fedora core 6?


Yesterday i've received this message from pirut: 819 packages available. the uprdating was normal for me, but 819?? i've started downloading, the i saw, the name of the packages was that: anything.FC8.i386.rpm, i have using fedora core 6, why fc8?

Do you have yum development repositories enabled? If so, then your system has probably been updated to the latest development snapshot.
