What license should SCORE use?

First, what is SCORE? It stands for simcity online region exchange. Its open source software thats intended to allow communities to collectively play a region online (similar to simcityscape, but much better, IMO)

Anyways, the alpha is almost complete, but before distributing it, we need a suitable license, which I'm responsible for finding.

So far I've looked through http://www.opensource.org/licenses/

The problem is that we don't want to get in trouble with the creators/publishers of simcity directly or indirectly. And we don't want users of the software slapping us with lawsuits. I'm not sure what the best license is given the circumstances.

Any ideas on which license would be best?

Oh -- and if anyone's interested in helping, we could use a couple of php coders or people of similar skills. We're on irc freenode #opensimcityscape

First of all, don't bump your own posts until at least a 24 hour time period as past, its in our rules.

Secondly, if your scared of lawsuits, this is something you might want to take up with the devlopers or makers of Sim City.

Its really your choice in deciding how you want to license your own software, etc.

And also in the future, please don't use our forums to recruit others, its classified as advertising and that is against our rules as well.

I'm not trying to be rude but if I let member X do it, I'd have to allow everyone.

Cheers.
