What is the usual number of processes for Firefox?

Question:

What is the usual number of processes for Firefox?

Summary:

Maybe I am just being too picky here, it seems to me that when I run Firefox, I have an unusal number of processes (eight) running for this browser:

tpatrick 2505 1 0 08:13 ? 00:00:00 /bin/sh /home/tpatrick/firefox-installer/firefox
tpatrick 2517 2505 0 08:13 ? 00:00:00 /bin/sh /home/tpatrick/firefox-installer/run-mozilla.sh /home/tpatrick/firefox-installer/firefox-bin
tpatrick 2522 2517 28 08:13 ? 00:02:44 /home/tpatrick/firefox-installer/firefox-bin
tpatrick 2523 2522 0 08:13 ? 00:00:00 /home/tpatrick/firefox-installer/firefox-bin
tpatrick 2524 2523 0 08:13 ? 00:00:00 /home/tpatrick/firefox-installer/firefox-bin
tpatrick 2525 2523 0 08:13 ? 00:00:00 /home/tpatrick/firefox-installer/firefox-bin
tpatrick 2526 2523 0 08:13 ? 00:00:00 /home/tpatrick/firefox-installer/firefox-bin
tpatrick 2527 2523 0 08:13 ? 00:00:00 /home/tpatrick/firefox-installer/firefox-bin

Is this standard and really no big deal?

Thank you for reading this post.

They aren't separate processes, they are merely multiple threads of the same process.
