WHat is the physical path or location of the trash folder?

I am using kde. When I delete something it goes to the trash folder. Where is the folder located? Can I navigate to it from the command line?

Thanks

The files can be found in the hidden directory ~/.local/share/Trash

Sure from the console or xterm session type something like;

cd .local/share/Trash

Example output;

$ cd .local/share/Trash
[lenard@Aspire5000 Trash]$ pwd
/home/lenard/.local/share/Trash

[lenard@Aspire5000 Trash]$ ls -al
total 32

drwx------ 4 lenard lenard 4096 Oct 21 23:41 ..
drwx------ 2 lenard lenard 4096 Oct 21 08:50 files

Next question (just out of interest): what happens if you remove either 'files' or 'info' directory; does it cause problems (i.e. files not getting moved to trash), or is it automatically re-created?

-I haven't tried..yet

EDIT: just tested -- it gets re-created, like I hoped

I'm not 100% sure, but from what I have seen/read the two directories should be created if needed. The contents of these directories however would be lost if you deleted them, this partly the reason they are hidden in the first place.
