what is the method to do docker backup

I use Docker Community Edition (CE) and run on my centos 7.4

I just would like to ask if I would like to backup the docker , container .

Now , I have backup full directory which related to docker .

I also find it in the web , there are many method to export container for backup , but it requires to update the the backup list of container ( because there will be new docker , container will be created on and on ) , otherwise , the new container , docker will not be backup .

Therefore , I would like to ask it is a good method to backup full directory ?

thanks

Wasn't it RHEL 7 in your OTHER thread about this exact same question?

Mod edit. technical forums should have technical replies.

Hello and welcome to LQ.

I'm not sure I understand the question. Are we talking about storage volumes?

I think this is what you are talking about. https://success.docker.com/article/b...best-practices

Yeah, sorry.

Putting the parts back in about this being a spammer thread, the OP's other post being deleted by another moderator, etc. Didn't see the part of the LQ Rules where things were limited to ONLY technical answers, at the risk of being edited by a moderator.

Can you point that out, jefro?

Last time. If members continue to flame posts I'll have to issue more warnings to members.
