what is the best php editor
what is a good php editor for Linux? i have been using Quanta but since i use gnome it doesn't work too good (they integrate terrible), i have also tried gphpedit which seems to offer everything i want, but it just doesn't work right (as in i can't get it to do what they say it does)

i'm looking for an editor with syntax highlighting, preferably using GTK+/Gnome so i can use my themes, have some type of menu or something so i can jump to all the functions that i made, and give me a short blurb on a function when i type it (not that important, but i love it as can be slow)

gphpedit says it does all of that but it just won't do it for seems broke

anybody know of any program that does this? i need a php editor that i can really work with

Have you tried Bluefish?

Try Zend client IDE (written in Java), or Eclipse (find php plugin, also written in Java) or KDevelop (QT).
