what is the best application to mount ISO image in linux?


hi guys

my questions is...just like on the subject, what is the best applications to mount ISO image (which is not an OS image) in linux. perhaps the most user friendly.

thanks for the enlightment

If it is a CDROM image, use the mount command with the filetype iso9660. For max discs, you may need to use udf instead. You need to use "loop" as an option because you are mounting a file.

eg:
sudo mount -t iso9660 filename.iso /mnt -o ro,loop

You don't say what distribution you are using and what you want to do with the ISO. If you want to work with the ISO, then you can use a programme such as AcetoneISO or ISO Master. Each programme is slightly different, so it depends what you will be doing with it as to which is better.
