What is the advantage to consoled?

Systemd is creating a 'consoled' now. http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?pag...tem&px=MTgwNzQ

What is the problem that this is going to solve?

What other positive things will come out of this?

Is there anyone that understands the current console_vt enough to explain the improvements we can look forward to?

It seems that one of the systemd devs has a wonderful explanation to my questions:

http://lists.freedesktop.org/archive...er/014808.html

Seems like he certainly knows his stuff. Read that thread if you would like a great explanation.

I believe if everyone involved in systemd communicated like this person, there wouldn't be so much hate for the project and its people.

I agree. That is an extremely well-written and well-crafted pitch/explanation.

Worth bookmarking for when you need to write one yourself.

Good find, szboardstretcher.
