What is SDL.
I need it to compile several applications (like zsnes, games etc.) but don't know what it is. On wikipedia I get a whole bunch of matches regarding software. How/where can I download it? I'm running Debian.

It is a library.
Run synaptic and search for sdl. Then install the libraries.

I'm not really sure how apt works in Debian, I use FC4, but it would probably be something like "apt get sdl" to install the package.

Yeah, well I tried like everything. I did another google search and found it though. It wasn't in my synaptics at least.
Thanks for the help though!

You probably want the "libsdl1.2debian" package for the library and the "libsdl1.2-dev" package for the headers to compile stuff with it.
