What Is Quake3 Keyboard Input Library

What does quake3 linux use to get keyboard, and mouse.
for example, on winodws it uses directinput.

It is not using the windows messages, and I dont think it uses SDL.

I am looking for a small library like directinput on linux.

SDL is too big for this purpose.

SDL may be big, but IMHO it is
much simpler to get input from
than M$ directinput. Have you
given it a try ? If not, I bet you'll
not be disappointed.
