What Does This Command Results Say?

I have amd dual monitor problems where it favors VGA over DVI (DVI doesn't even work). I read the command
Code:

"$ lspci -vvnn | grep VGA".
is to check what video you have.

It came back with;

Code:

I'm guessing everything is VGA, because it has VGA in the command.

Is there a command that lists my DVI Video? What does the results I posted say?

Thank you,
Chris.

HI::)

Looks like you have a GA compatible controller [0300]: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Sumo [Radeon HD 6410D] [1002:9645] (prog-i

Running this cmd will give you the same result w/o all of the input/output info-:
Code:

lspci | grep -i VGA

Dual monitoring can be very challenging to get it right.
I know, as I've been doing research on it for about 2 weeks. (still looking for answers)

Hope you don't have to go through what I've had to. I've spent almost a year, not stop trying to get it right. I've blown through about 15 distros and DE's.
The only one that I've gotten to work was Mint 17.3. Doesn't work in 18. You would think someone in the Linux community would have a late distro that would work with a amd dual monitor (I understand you can't make something that doesn't work, work).

Mine is because of xorg. 1.8.

Chris.

Not sure exactly what you're trying to achieve here, but you could use xrandr to get more info about the graphics ports and other info...
Code:

xrandr --verbose
Also, a perusal through /var/log/Xorg.0.log can yield more info from the X-server.

I agree-
However I'm finding that this issue is not being address and after 3 weeks of research I have not found a solution. (it's really discouraging)

Are you referring to graphics hardware using a proprietary or open source driver?
