what does "noarch" mean?
I have seen lots of the rpm packages saying noarch, what does it mean?
|
It means that it is not compiled for a specific pc architecture - noarch as opposed to i386, i486, i586, i686.
In theory, that rpm should run on whatever system you have (as long as it's a pc ;)). |
thanx man, that makes sense
