What does DIsk Druid do, exactly, on the backend

I am working on a goofy install issue that I think I can resolve (hopefully) if I can find out what Disk Druid, the fedora installation tool, does. I don't mean how to use Disk Druid, where to get it, etc. I need to try to figure out how it builds software raid, what files it installs/modifies, because I believe whatever it did is causing the problems I described in this thread.....

Does anybody have any knowledge or can direct me to white papers, FAQs, etc about the program? I can't seem to locate it on the web.

Disk Druid is actually a set of python wrapper functions that just call the parted utilities to do partitioning.
