What Do You Think About This Tweak Guide 4 Ubuntu?
I want to tweak my Ubunto 7.10 and found this guide on tweaking:
http://ubuntusoftware.info/Howto_twe..._ultimate.html
Even though it's a guide for earlier versions of Ubuntu, what do you guys think? Does it apply to Ubuntu 7.10? Thanks!

I assume it does work, as far as the packages mentioned are still available for 7.10. You might want to check them all prior to installing anything or making actual changes. And do make a full backup before you start, just in case..
Those steps might help you, but don't expect anything spectacular. You'd still get far better results building up a distribution more or less from a minimal system (like LFS) rather than stripping down a full system, and anyway Ubuntu is more aimed to be easily usable than a super-slim speed daemon. It won't hurt to learn how to tweak your system, and I encourage you to do that, but don't just run the commands blindly: it will probably get you in a mess if you don't understand what you're doing, and understanding everything as you do it means you're learning for the future.

b0uncer, I agree with everything you've said. I don't want to blindly enter commands, not knowing what I'm doing. I want to learn. If you can point me to the right direction on tweaking my Ubuntu, not just with commands, but with other things like updating the drivers for my inner components like my video card, etc. This I would appreciate alot. Thank you for your time.
