What can plotting Lat, Long on a map. (in gif, png or jpg)

I run a garage sale mapping program http://www.garagesaleorganizer.ca I have over 24,000 ads plotted a year (and growing.)

I thought it would be really cool if I could plot all the points for a week/month on a map of the world. Then animate the maps for the last 2 years.

So my question. What software can I use to do this? I was looking at gpsmap from kismet but it only seems to have US maps working.

Any one know something else I could use?

Thanks.

Look into google maps API. Do you store the locations in a mysql database? If you store, name, address, city, state, zipcode, I would be willing to plot them for you, I have done this before with google maps.

The mysql db stores lat and long as well as the address. I also currenly plot them on google maps. Problem is taking google map tiles offline is illegal (at least to my knowledge) So I'm looking for another solution. Also I want something I can process offline since I'm going to be animating it with dvd-slideshow (or other process) to product a mini movie. That way people can see the garage sale density over time.
