Cool What audio players can play from archives?

I just can't find anything that can do that. I know that such audio players exist. I tried man -k and apt search without success.
I'd like a list, please don't stop at 1 result.
Thanks!

i just tried to 1. tar.gz and 2. zip an mp3, mpv would not play either (unrecognized format).
does it require a special option? man page does not mention anything, i think.

I was able to play a .tar.gz file.
Code:
Playing: archive://song.webm.tar.gz|song.webm
 (+) Audio --aid=1 --alang=eng (*) (opus 2ch 48000Hz)
EDIT: I'm using mpv version 0.29.0, so it may be a newer feature.

Works for me.

The one in your repo might not be built with zipfile support, but that's not mpv's fault.

You could also take a look at players that accept standard input, for example mplayer:
Code:
tar -Oxf archive.tar.gz | mplayer -
