what's wrong with my Gaim?
Just now I wanted to update my gaim from 0.64 to 0.66. I downloaded the newest version. And I forgot to uninstall the old one before I came to install 0.66.
And then It gave me some words. UnfortunateIy I forgot them. When I make gaim command it did not work anymore. It tells me the the gaim is not installed. Then I re-installed the gaim. But everything goes the same. It still does not work.
Would anyone please tell me what to do now?
Thanks!
did you try uninstalling and removing all instances of gaim and starting fresh?
like i mean remove everything such as any hidden files that may be in your home folder, etc, etc.....
type "locate gaim" after you uninstall it, and see if it picks up any config files or anything that may be corrupted which in turn may be causing the new version to crash....
