I noticed that in Debian's Testing and Sid branch, the XOrg's X server produces a configuration file (xorg.conf) which has the following line in the module section:

Load "dri2"
Load "dri"
So I am familiar with the dri but what is this new dri2 stuff? Do we need both to get the 3D working.
