glibc is a shortcut for GNU libc - basic library containing implementation of functions used in programs written in C-language.
glib is a graphics-independent library used by GTK and GNOME programs.
gtk is a graphical library used for drawing windows, widgets, etc. - the whole GUI, used in GNOME desktop environment and a lot of other programs.
pango is a library for drawing fonts, used by gtk.
