What's the best media manager for my Android phone?

Hello everyone. I am a Linux Nubie and I am looking for the best media manager for my Android phone that will sync with my laptop running Zorin Linux OS. Banshee is what I have on my Linux system and Songbird is currently on my Droid phone.

The issue that I have with Songbird is that it constantly duplicates song tracks. I should only have about 900 tracks on my phone, yet Songbird lists over 1700. This is a real issue for me. I have synced my phone library with Banshee and I noticed it did not duplicate any tracks. So, my entire music library is currently loaded onto my laptop. However, I have not found a Banshee Android app that I could use on the phone. Any ideas?

Note: I will only be syncing music tracks, no videos, movies, etc.

This forum has been a great help in the past. Thanks in advance.

I just mount my Android as a hard drive and copy stuff back and forth.

How do you prevent duplicates? What player do you use with your Droid? I'll try your method Frank and see what happens. Thanks.

fr8train, I guess my listening needs are very simple.

Since mostly I listen to podcasts, duplicates and syncing are not an issue for me. Once I've listened to one, I delete it. Nevertheless, if I do occasionally try to copy a duplicate, I get a "[filename] already exists; overwrite?" dialog.

If it's worth keeping because I want to refer to it later, like some of Klaatu's tutorials, I store a copy of it on my laptop in a "tutorials" directory, which in turn gets backed up to my server.
