whaddya you guys use to burn iso's

I searched a little -- just wanna know which appy you all use to burn iso's in linux.
I use mandrake 10 official. I've got myself a mamorex 8x dvd drive. It's a schweet drive. In Windows I used MagicISO -- sucked because I couldn't put 4 iso's on one dvd.

SO, whaddya you all use?

THank you for your time

Can I trust Nautilis?

Say I want to drag discs 1-4 of mandrake official into the NAutilis file manager...will that do me? 'Course, I'd be putting them on a dvd.

THanks

burn 4 iso's ?
what do you mean ?

an iso is a file system image, surely you can only have one filesystem per Disk ?

doo you mean you want to merge the 4 file systems into 1 ?

machiner 06-22-2004 10:45 AM

yessir. I have the iso's 1-4 for mandrake official 10, and I want to put them all on one disc....is this dooable, or do I need to extract each iso, then put all of the files onto the disc?

Thanks

ohh.....

under normal circumstances, you would mount the iso's with the loopback device, then make a new iso containing the 4 other mounted iso directories.

however beeing an install disk... you need to create a bootable ISO.
i dont know how to do this.

read the man pages and help on mkisofs.
also, make sure the final iso matches the file system that the mandrake installer will expect.

ALSO.. amke sure the mandrake installer that comes on the CD iso is capable of installing from DVD.

Doesnt mandrake produce a DVD iso ? i know fedora does.
