Unhappy wget question for yahoo groups

As I'm sure we've all heard, yahoo groups will be removed here in December. You can request from them, a backup of any group you are a member of, but I've been waiting for 2 weeks and seriously doubt they will send me a link to download anything. I've been reading up on some scripts that aren't supported, and various web services that will "let you back up" groups you belong to, but they don't seem too promising. Could I use something like wget to grab all the messages from a specific group?

Thanks Everyone!

I would say yes, if the archive is publicly available.
Putting this into a search engine I got surprisingly interesting results (make sure to skip the ads).
