Weird Modules Issue
I am trying to load my ethernet drivers after a fresh install of Slack 10.2 (kernal v 2.6.13) on a Dell Optiplex GX240. Weird thing is, I don't have a 2.6.13 folder under /lib/modules, but I do have a 2.4.31 folder. I made a symbolic link to 2.4.31 called 2.6.13 thinking maybe I can fake out the system, but modprobe reports all modules as invalid module format.
The system boots, but I cannot load my drivers!! What the heck is going on? |
Apon reading up on the 2.6 upgrade, the docs say I need to install the modules after I install the kernel. All fixed.
