Hi,
I have a Core i5 computer with ob-board GPU. In some application, parts of the GUI are not rendered, instead having a blank grey background color. Clicking the mouse sometimes does activate the GUI widget (i.e. button) there, but it is not rendered. I encountered the problem in several applications, including DropBox, pgAdmin iii and valentina studio.

You can see that dropbox doesn't show the list of folders to sync. Yet, I may elicit a response by clicking on the presumed location of the GUI widget.
The problem persists both in Gnome and XFCE. Changing Gnome theme didn't help either. I noticed that in the Advanced Settings window of Gnome I do have an exclamation mark near the "Shell theme" combobox and this combobox is grayed out.
What's more interesting, is that this problem appeared also on my previous Pentium Dual-Core E5700 machine, although there only in Valentina Studio and not in Dropbox.
I searched the internet and Debian bug sites but haven't found anything about this problem.
