Weechat - "irc: error: The operation was cancelled due to user error"

Hello, since this morning i haven't been able to get onto any irc networks, other than EFNet using weechat.

I hadn't updated any packages since last night (when it was previously working).

I can't seem to get onto FreeNode, Mozilla, rizon, snoonet, oftc, or swiftirc. They give me this same error message;

Code:
                      │21:00:29             =!= │ irc: TLS handshake failed
                      │21:00:29 =!= │ irc: error: The operation was cancelled due to user error
                      │21:00:29              -- │ irc: reconnecting to server in 2 minutes, 40 seconds
What can be causing this? My EFNet connection is over SSL, but this connects. I jsut cannot get connected to any other networks?

Maybe your tls is too old. Try updating it, or try a different irc client.

I don't see how it can be, as this problem started happening where no packages were changed on the system, and there hasn't been any changes to openssl related packages since.

I've rebuilt weechat for the sake of it, but the same problem occurs, which makes no sense why only EFNet is able to connect?

I can't use another irc client, as i have too many networks setup / scripts that are required.

I can't see why this randomly started happening.

I've also just upgraded to the latest weechat, v2.2 and still have this same problem? Well, i'm baffled.
