Webwasher for Linux

Does there exist anything similar to webwasher [http://www.webwasher.com] to filter out commercial ads for Linux Operating System?

Thanx. I started with the above. As root, I can start by typing the following command:

# rcprivoxy start

But as a user this command does not work and it also does not automatically starts though I am using SUSE-9.3 and as per manual SUSE should automatically start it.

How do I tell SUSE to start it automatically? Manual talks about some kind of script but I don't know how to do it.

Open up YAST2. Go to Runtime level editor. Chose expert modus. Select the runtimelevels for Privoxy to run in. Select Boot for starting. Apply. That's it. .

Use Firefox with the Adblock extension. Blocks most ads and you can customize the filters.

You can also use: DansGuardian http://dansguardian.org/

You can block most ads and popups by using a HOSTS file. Windows based site but you can still use the HOSTS file and copy it to your.
"You can use a HOSTS file to block ads, banners, 3rd party Cookies, 3rd party page counters, web bugs, and even most hijackers." http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm
