Website Builder/Dreamweaver Alt
Does anyone know a good alternative to the Dreamweaver MX program for windows? I've never personally seen a better web page editor - but I don't happen to be running windows any longer, so I need to find a replacement. Thanks.

I use bluefish to create web pages:

I have no idea how it compares to Dreamweaver since I have never used Dreamweaver.

Hey Steve,
Can you provide a link to one or more sites you've created with bluefish? I'm about to go have a look at it, but would really enjoy seeing some 'finished product.'
TIA
Bruce

Right now I don't have any on the web created with bluefish. If you send me your email address through the Linuxquestions email service I can send you a complete website as a tarball attached to an email.

Older versions of Dreamweaver can be made to run under Linux with Wine; see www.frankscorner.org for details.
Neither bluefish nor quanta or screem really compare to Dreamweaver in their handling; they are closer to Homesite (which is bundled with Dreamweaver).
