Webmin theme issue

Hi all,

I have a slightly annoying problem with webmin on my debian box. I recently installed it and was playing with the configuration options. I changed the theme from 'debian' to 'default webmin theme'. However, I stupidly did this for the root user, and now when I log in as root, I get a 'http 500 - internal server error' page.

When I log in as my other user, it works fine. However, this other user has restricted access, and I can't use it to change the theme for root. Is there any way I can change the theme for root back, maybe by editing a config file or something? I found the file /etc/webmin/config has a line called 'theme_root=', so I tried adding 'debian' to the end, but it didn't appear to fix the issue.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Guy

That's the right file to change it in. The theme name you put in there should be the name of the themes directory. Example:

Theme Dir = /usr/local/webmin/mscstyle3
theme_root=mscstyle3

This is for version 1.1 at least.

Thanks - that seemed to fix it! I've since installed a newer version of webmin (1.140 source tar from the webmin site) which doesn't appear to have this problem. Seems to just be an issue with the older debian package version of webmin I was using before.

Thanks again,
Guy
