Question webmail client

I need some opinions/tutorials on the following.

I need to setup webmail on a mail server.
Used squirrelmail before but need something with a bit more features.
Installed roundcube, works very nice except i can't get the vacation plugin to
work. I tried everything and all the tutorial i could get my hands on.

So i gave up and moved on to Horde.
Installed it, also works fine but can't get the vacation plugin to work.

What do you use for webmail where the vacation plugin is not a problem?
If you know of a way to get it to work on RoundCube/Horde please share.

You can try zimbra. Either the free open source edition, or the paid Network Edition.

As I am sure you are aware, there is an alternate option to using a webmail client at all - decide upon a desktop mail client such as Mozilla Thunderbird and configure it to receive messages from given accounts.

I favor this option as it provides a centralized place to check messages from multiple accounts, plus the desktop notifications can be useful when I have other tasks on which I must focus.

That being said, SquirrelMail is my preferred webmail option due to its lightweightness (is that a word?) and stripped-down interface. And, of course, plain-text email composition being enabled by default is a nice feature.

vacation, webmail
