Webex stopped working
Running - Fedora release 26 (Twenty Six)
Kernel - 4.12.13-300.fc26.x86_64 In Fedora 24 or 25 it was working after doing the following: Code:
#dnf install icedtea-web java-1.8.0-openjdk pangox-compat.i686 libXmu.i686 mesa-libEGL.i686 gtk2.i686 java-1.8.0-openjdk.i686 libpng12.i686 libXv.i686 libXtst.i686 libcanberra-gtk2.i686 Code:
#setsebool -P unconfined_mozilla_plugin_transition=off mmap_low_allowed=on So far I have downgraded packages to test if an updated hosed up something with no lunch. Any thoughts on this would be helpful. |
Did you see all of this? https://help.webex.com/docs/DOC-6336
Might use wireshark to see any network issue. Launch and not connect tends to make me think a firewall issue but only wild guess. |

Is this a new or existing user on the system? I ask because in the past, I've just rm'd ~./.webex/ before starting a session. installing willy-nilly doesn't touch ~/.webex/ so, does it exist? I'd consider moving it or just nuke it ~/.webex/ to orbit. Hard to tell. |

My thoughts on the 32bit version of the Firebox browser were correct https://help.webex.com/docs/DOC-4748
I'm going to setup a VM and do some testing then report back (hopefully positive findings). |
In link post #2
"Firefox 52 and later 32-bit only is supported in Linux using the Java Network Launch Protocol (JNLP), but not with WebEx Meeting Center video (CMR) enabled, and also not with Personal Rooms enabled." |

I understand I'll have to use JNLP and without video enabled or personal rooms. |
I can now confirm that Webex is now working again.
The issue wasn't on Fedora's end; I visited https://www.webex.com/test-meeting.html again late last week before running updates and now the screen for the meeting lunches and states that it's connected in the lower right corner. So I have confirmed that we can still use Webex in Fedora 26 with x86_64 version of current Firefox. The limitations of no Personal Rooms etc they note still apply. Hope this helped some else. |
Thanks for the update.
