Webcamoid - can't play training video as virtual webcam

A friend suggested webcamoid to use during an online meeting to play a recording as a virtual webcam. Only problem is, for the life of me I can't figure out how to do that? everything i tried i can't end up picking it as a device. anyone ever use this before and can give me a walkthrough of how to do it? i looked at their documentation site, not much there unfortunately
