Webcam Viewer Software

I am looking for some software for linux to view a remote webcam. All the software I see is for looking at a local webcam. My girlfriend has one setup at her house (She uses windows) and I want a viewer for it that will hopefully stream the video as opposed to some programs that will refresh the picture every few seconds. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

On a side not I am using Webcam_server to serve up my webcam, but I was wondering if there is anything better. I tried camserv, but couldnt get it to work. Probably not starting it correctly. What are recommended options for it? Can you give me an example of what you use?

thats what I have now, but the server doesnt refresh the picture automatically, or set the webpage to do it, and its not java based, so its kind of obnoxious that I have to refresh the browser over and over. My girlfriends was using a client for windows, but it used java, and the applet never seemed to load for me.

java applet not loading may be an easier fix than finding a new program...

was the applet not loading on win or linux first...

is there an error loading the applet

what version of java plugin are you using

win = sun, ms
linux = sun, blackdown

recompiled blackdown works best for me
