Web Server

I am making a webserver / ftpserver and I want to turn off everything else (printer, etc) using that ntsysv thing... and well I don't know what to turn off in there and not to turn off besides keeping httpd ON and whats the ftpserver one? I don't even know if the FTP server is running I don't suppose it is cause redhat 7.3 didn't even turn on httpd automatically...

Try typing "man [service]", replacing [service] with whatever you're trying to figure out whether to turn off or not. For example, if you have anacron running and want to know if you can turn it off, type "man anacron" and read about what it does...if you don't need it, shut it off.

As long as you have a boot disk, I don't think there's anything that you can turn off that you can't turn back on in the event you need it.

Hope this helped...let me know if you need any clarification.
