Question Web-programming

I want to set up Apache, php5 and mysql on mandrake 10.1.
I'm experienced asp.net programmer and would like to try php programming.
I'm also relatively new to linux. does any one know the fastest way to install these things without any troubles? Is it a homesite where i should start? is there maybe any installer that install all things at once?
By the way does anyone knows if .NET will be available on linux in the future?
thanks.

It depends on your distribution. There should already be RPM/DEB packages which you only must install and enjoy the documentation ;-)
MySQL PHP apache (httpd) etc. should be on your Install-CD. Try to look for 'yum' or an gui-application where you add/remove your software. This should be
already installed.

Try as root on the terminal/konsole:
yum install php mysql

So far i know is there an .NET implementation for Linux with the Java IDE mono. Don't know am i right.

Happy new year.
