Web Interface for Vsftpd?
 

I am really liking web based methods of logging and doing work rather than having to use various programs such as Thunderbird and FileZilla. Is there a web based frontend or something for vsftpd? Much similar to how Squirrelmail is for Postfix/Dovecot? I would like one that has been proven fast/secure, it also needs to support ftpes:// or SSL.

You could install a webserver which uses the same root as the ftp server. This would at least allow you to read files.

If you want that ftp should be usable in browser, Use fireFTP.
fireFTP is add on for mozilla firefox.

You can use ftp in firefox just like other web services.
You can inspect it on firebug like other web apps.

It is, it works as a FTP browser, supports SSL over TLS what else one will need.
else fireftp, coreftp there are many those can be used.

EDIT:
if webserver is the requirement apache with a imple virtual host setting would do it..

make a virtual host with root as ftp dir location and set "options all"
and you can view the list of files and dir's under your root dir on the webpage.

As I phrase the word web based it works in a browser. At least thats how I understood the question of the op. As the word web based frontend also implies.
And I truly must say advicing a program that was mentioned and is not wanted to be used to me is somehow kind of arrogant.

Your understanding is correct, i mentioned the other name OP already mentioned, as OP was asking for a program like them to use, with the words written in the post implies like he doesn't know filezilla can be used for FTP too. :P Sorry if i sound arrogant in my last post, i never meant that !!
