Web/FTP/Shell user stats software?

Hey guys... does anyone know if there is a utilty to show who is logged in either through FTP or at the shell, telnet, or even how many people are useing the apache webserver?

I would like to see if someone is connected and who that someone is if they needed to log in to get in.

Thanks!
(if this doesn't make any sense please let me know, I will try to be more clear

if this service is being run on a computer local to you, and you have access to it type,

ps -aux

That will show all processes, shells spawned and other things.

Also try :
top

'man top'
man ps'
