Weather applet or channel

To anyone, how does one download and install something like Weather Channel in Windows, but for Linux, instead?

I just keep a Firefox bookmark set to http://www.srh.noaa.gov/forecast/Map...te=NM&site=ABQ which is where I live. Never have cared for those little gizmos on the toolbar.

I've never managed to get Gkrellweather to work. Station ID should be EGKK. Does this work for you. I only get 99 degrees.

Have you tried some other station IDs to test its functionality? You can also try to move your cursor above this plugin if window with weather data is shown and check if switch interval is not zero.

Gkrellm, Kweather applet in KDE, Superkaramba + Liquidweather; there are quite a few ways to get weather info.
